Zafran launches Attack Chain Killswitch in collaboration with Google Threat Intelligence

Industries

Exposure management for healthcare

Zafran cuts findings to the 1% truly exploitable, protects the devices you can’t patch with the defenses you already own, and gets fixes done without disrupting patient care.

An end-of-life ventilator in ICU 3, still in service, with no patch available. CVE-2023-4966, CVSS 9.4, heads for it. Zafran validates the firewall's IT-to-clinical deny rule already in its path, and the exploit is blocked at the firewall. The ventilator stays in service, protected without patching or downtime; HIPAA evidence logged.

Why customers trust Zafran

  • 99% reduction in CVSS criticals

    Major Healthcare System

A major healthcare system reduced critical vulnerabilities by 99% with compensating controls.

  • Top 5 U.S. Health Insurer

“Without Zafran, it would have taken me 10 plus people just to do the analysis.”

    VP, Enterprise Information Security

Prove what’s exploitable and protect what you can’t patch

  • 99%

    Fewer critical vulnerabilities, with proof.

  • 90 seconds

To answer ‘are we exposed?’ when a new threat emerges.

  • 23K → 1

Overlapping findings collapsed into a single fix for faster remediation.

How Zafran helps

Pull findings from every scanner into one deduplicated record through agentless APIs, so nothing new touches clinical systems or slows down patient care.

  • Agentless API connectors
  • Deduplication across every detection source
  • Control-to-asset mapping
Learn more : Unify vulnerability findings

When a new vulnerability or ransomware campaign hits the news, answer “are we exposed?” in minutes, with every affected asset and the path to it named.

  • Continuous external discovery
  • Real-time SBOM detection
  • Zero Day Agent for threats with no CVE
Learn more : Detect exposure

Cut thousands of critical CVEs to pinpoint the small share that’s running, reachable, and exploited by real threat actors, so narrow change windows go to the fixes that count.

  • Runtime and reachability confirmation
  • Active threat actor intelligence
  • Business criticality for patient care systems
Learn more : Prioritize what's exploitable

See which EDR, firewall, and segmentation controls already protect the medical devices and end-of-life systems you can’t patch, and where a configuration gap is left open.

  • Compensating control analysis
  • Preemptive mitigations
  • Mitigation guidance for EOL and mission-critical systems
Learn more : Mitigate risk

Send IT one consolidated ticket per fix, with the risk evidence attached and the right owner assigned, bridging the gap between security and IT.

  • Automatic owner assignment
  • Fix consolidation collapses overlapping findings
  • Jira and ServiceNow bi-directional sync
Learn more : Mobilize remediation

Show the board risk reduced over time, and give auditors documented evidence of why each exposure was fixed, mitigated, or accepted.

  • Dashboards provide exposure trends for the board
  • SLA status is tracked and measured, including risk exception approval trail
  • Audit evidence for HIPAA and HITRUST
Learn more : Automate reporting

Wiz (CNAPP), Tenable (vulnerability scanner) and Snyk (AppSec scanner) each report CVE-2021-44228. Zafran correlates them into one record on the CVE ID, hostname, package and container image. Three findings, one record, deduplicated.

On 25 October 2022 OpenSSL pre-announces a critical flaw in versions 3.0.0 to 3.0.6, with no CVE published, no NVD entry and no scanner plugins yet. Zafran's Zero Day Agent matches it to your live software inventory in 88 seconds: which assets run the vulnerable version, which are reachable from the internet, and which are blocked by a live control, before any CVE is published.

12,840 findings. Zafran weighs runtime (5,264 running), reachability (1,930 reachable), active exploitation (514 exploited), business criticality (212 on critical assets) and compensating controls (128 with no control in place): the top 1% that is exploitable. Fix these first: CVE-2021-44228 (CVSS 10.0) and CVE-2024-6387 (CVSS 8.1).

Spring4Shell, exploited in the wild, reaches four servers: orders-api, payments-api, partner-gw and reports-svc. Each path passes a control point that belongs to one Palo Alto NGFW policy, and the policy is not enabled. Zafran enables it: every path is blocked at the firewall, the exploit stops short, and all four servers are protected without waiting for the patch.

Zafran groups the ones that share a fix: 700 collapse into one ticket, upgrade OpenSSL, routed to the Platform team; 300 collapse into a second, patch Windows Server, routed to Infrastructure.

Zafran AI. Prompt: build a threat-focused vulnerability dashboard. Zafran AI builds it: 128 vulnerabilities exploited in the wild, 41 ransomware-linked, 23 internet-facing, broken down by the threat actors exploiting them (Scattered Spider 34, FIN7 27, Lazarus Group 19, APT29 12). Second prompt: create an agent that emails this report every morning. Copilot creates the daily vulnerability report agent, and it goes active.
